This Same House

This selection of works reflect an inquiry into the intimacy, contradiction, volatility and curiosities of the domestic landscape.

They are evidence of an expanded practice: I construct and assemble dioramic scenes from everyday domestic materials, which I then document through drawing, film, and photography, as an applied process of visual thinking.

Sometimes symbolic, often daydream or half –thought rendered tangible, my process plays with concepts of ‘truth’ and ‘reality’ through flagrant code-switching, evoking multiple genres simultaneously; the still-life, the landscape, the photograph, the representational, the abstract.
